First Holy Communion - 9 June 2024, 12.30pm
Every Sunday morning at the moment, before the 10.30am Mass, a large crowd is assembling at Holy Innocents' School.
It's made up of the boys and girls on what we call the "First Holy Communion journey". The journey that takes them to celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation and then on the Feast of Corpus Christi in June receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time; and onwards into a lifetime of being a follower of Jesus. |
It's a journey that needs the commitment of their whole family. Which is why the excited crowd on Sunday mornings also includes parents, who've been invited to join all of the sessions. All of them - children, parents and catechists - are supported by the prayers of everyone at Holy Innocents'.
