We pray for the people of Beirut Port following the terrible accidental explosion on 4th August, when 135 plus people died and 5,000 and more were injured, with 300,000 people rendered virtually homeless, homes being destroyed or badly damaged.  May the Lord have mercy on the souls of the dead, console the grieving, heal the injured and help them to rebuild their homes and lives.   May the rest of the world send aid for this already war-torn and beleaguered country.   Amen.
