From 4pm on Thursday afternoon, 14th November, thousands of people came to the High Street to view the stalls and sample the foods and sweets etc traders had on sale and to ride on the fairground merry-go-rounds etc.
Working alongside each other Churches Together members provided free painting books, pencils, knitted angels, crosses, sweets, candy cane etc, and similar items all with a Gospel message. Some people came to the stall to see what was on offer and others were given items as they passed by the stall. Free Gideon New Testaments were also given out. Love comes in many guises. May the recipients reflect on the messages given.
